영국인이 가장 좋아하는 TV속 영웅

 

LIFE On Mars's Gene Hunt was yesterday named the nation's favourite TV hero.

The non-PC policeman in the 1970s-style BBC series topped a poll to find our favourites.

And actor Philip Glenister's co-star in the show, John Simm, was named top TV villain for his role as Doctor Who's nemesis The Master.

Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer in 24 and David Tennant as Doctor Who completed the top three of the nation's best loved TV heroes.

Simm saw off James Gandolfini's mob boss Tony Soprano and Zachary Quinto's Sylar in Heroes in the top three baddies.

The poll was commissioned by digital TV channel Hallmark for the launch of US legal series Damages, starring Glenn Close.A Hallmark spokesman said: "Everyone loves a sinister TV villain or an endearing TV hero, watching them running wild or battling evil.

"Our research into what keeps us glued to our favourite dramas has revealed just how important strong identifiable characters are to the success of a show.

The research found men prefer watching a villain to a hero while women love a baddie with a good side.

TV프로그램 라이프 온 마스의 경찰 진헌트 영국인이 가장 좋아하는 영웅으로 뽑히다.

1970년대 경찰을 소재로한 BBC 시리즈인 라이프 온 마스 속 주인공 진헌트가 영국인이 가장 좋아하는 TV속 영웅으로 뽑혔다.

이 쇼에서 진헌트역을 맡은 배우 필립 글레니스타와 함께 존심도 닥터후의 악당 마스터 역으로 좋아하는 TV속 악당 상위권에 올랐다.

그 외에 가장 좋아하는 TV속 영웅은 24의 키퍼 서덜렌드가 맡은 잭바우어와 닥터후의 데이비드 테넌트가 뽑혔다.

존심은 소프라노스의 제임스 겐돌피니가 연기한 토니 소프라노와 히어로스의 사일러역 재커리 퀸토와 함께 최고의 악당 삼인에 들었다.

투표는 글렌클로스가 주연을 맡은 미국 법정 드라마인 데미지를 방영하는 디지털TV 채널 홀마크사가 조사했다.

홀마크의 대변인은 "대중들은 TV에 나오는 사악한 악당이나 영웅을 사랑하고 그들이 목적을 이루려고 광분하거나 악과 싸우는것을 보기를 좋아합니다. 우리의 조사는 사람들이 어떤 드라마에 끌리는지 캐릭터의 어떤 점들이 쇼의 성공에 중요한지를 밝혀내기 위함이었습니다.

이번 조사에서는 여성들은 좋은 면을 함께 가진 악당을 사랑하고 남자들은 악당에서 영웅이 되는 걸 보기를 좋아한다는 것도 밝혀냈다.
