 데이빗의 연인 키이스 역할을 맡은 Mathew St. Patrick입니다

 이 사람 역시 원래는 이성애자이지만 게이 역활을  맡았다고 하네요

 극중 역할에선 키이스란 경찰관으로 나오는데

 어린시절 폭력적인 아버지 밑에서 자란 경험으로 가끔 화가나면 폭력적 성향을 보이고

그 때문에 나중엔 경찰 생활에서도 물러나게 됩니다

하지만 데이빗을 만나 서로 사랑하고 이해하며 가정을 이루기 위해 노력합니다

그리고 데이빗이 어려운 상황을 겪을 때마다 곁에서 든든한 조력자 역활을 해줍니다

원래 동성애자들에 대해 그다지 사전 지식도 없고

드라마나 영화에서 보고 단편적으로 아는게 전부인지라

처음 이 커플이 등장했을텐 어딘지 어색하고 껄끄러운 느낌이 들기도 했지만

계속 이야기가 전개 될 수록 나중엔 그저 사랑하는 연인으로만 보이더군요^^

작가 알랜 볼이 게이라서 그럴까요

극 중반에 작가들 사이에서 이 커플을 헤어지게 하자는 의견이 많았다고 하는데

끝까지 연인으로 남게 고집을(?) 부린건

유난히 이 두 캐릭터에 대해 애정이 많았기 때문인 거 같습니다

(사실 식스핏언더 등장인물 중 유일하게 제대로 결혼생활을 꾸려나간 커플이죠)^^
